Aims & Objectives of Neurology Foundation of Bangladesh

Aims

1. To improve neurological healthcare across Bangladesh through awareness, early diagnosis, and timely treatment.
2. To support patients with neurological disorders by providing access to quality, affordable, and compassionate care.
3. To advance research and education in neurology for better understanding, prevention, and management of neurological diseases.
4. To build a nationwide network of neurologists, healthcare professionals, and volunteers dedicated to neurological well-being.

Objectives

1. Organize free medical camps, awareness programs, and outreach clinics for underserved communities.
2. Provide expert consultation, screening, and follow-up services for common neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, migraine, neuropathy, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, etc.
3. Promote training and skill development for doctors, nurses, medical students, and caregivers in modern neurological practices.
4. Collaborate with hospitals, NGOs, academic institutions, and government agencies to strengthen neurological healthcare systems.
5. 5. Support research activities related to neurological diseases, risk factors, rehabilitation, and prevention.
6. Develop patient education materials to raise awareness about lifestyle, early warning signs, and preventive measures.
7. Facilitate rehabilitation and long-term support services for patients suffering from chronic neurological disabilities.
8. Work for policy advocacy to ensure better neurological care facilities at national and community levels.

৩ই ডিসেম্বর রোজ বুধবার ফ্রি মেডিকেল ক্যাম্প অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল,নিউরোলজি ফাউন্ডেশন অফ বাংলাদেশ এর পক্ষ থেকে। সফলভাবে আয়োজন করা হলো ফ্রি মেডিকেল ক্যাম্প। ক্যাম্প শুরুর পর থেকেই বিভিন্ন স্থান থেকে অসংখ্য রোগী উপস্থিত হয়েছেন।

Stroke is now one of the leading causes of death and disability in Bangladesh.
Many patients remain undiagnosed or untreated due to lack of specialized centers.
A dedicated neurology hospital is essential to handle this increasing burden.
Severe Shortage of Specialized Neurology Facilities
Bangladesh has very few neurology-focused hospitals, and most are concentrated in major cities.
